The achievements feature is free, you can unlock them normally, without being a Hydra Cloud subscriber.

But note that if you format your computer, or use another computer, your unlocked achievements will not be carried over, since they will not be synchronized, if you do not subscribe to Hydra Cloud.

Hydra Cloud will synchronize them in your account, and display them on your profile.
