How does achievement notifications work?

Achievement notifications are displayed when you unlock an achievement in Hydra. If they aren't unlocking, we have an article explaining in more detail how Hydra unlocks achievements.
To enable achievement notifications, go to "Settings" > "General" and in the "Notifications" section, enable the "When an achievement is unlocked" option.

In update 3.5, Hydra redesigned the achievement notifications and added a new option, "Enable custom achievement notifications," which is already enabled by default. You can click "Test notification" to see how it will appear on your screen.

If this option is enabled, your game must be in windowed or borderless mode for notifications to appear while playing. Unfortunately, this type of notification cannot be displayed if your game is in fullscreen mode.
Now, if this option is disabled, Hydra will use the operating system's native notifications. To make them appear while you're playing a game, you need to access Windows settings and disable these options:

(You need to access the Focus Assist settings if you are using Windows 10, or the equivalent if you are using a Linux distribution)
This way, achievement notifications will appear even if you are playing a game in Full Screen mode.
